about

Southern Wave Night Birds is an EP revisiting 6 tracks from Mick Strauss's debut album, Southern Wave (released in 2021) in acoustic versions (guitar, piano, violin, cello, double bass, drums).

The EP was recorded in Mick Strauss' attic in Finistère, France - a sanctuary of inspiration by the Atlantic ocean - and filmed live in one night.

Seeking out truthfulness and simplicity, or a connection between their hearts and voices, Mick Strauss and his band ask themselves :
If these were our last days on earth, what would our songs sound like ?

Il le décrit comme un dandy aux semelles de vent, inadapté social charismatique, malin et drôle, faux-monnayeur et myope. Ses chansons sont le récit de ses aventures ou des lettres envoyées à ses amis. ... more
